BBQ Ribs
Slow-cooked pork ribs glazed with barbecue sauce, rendered until tender and caramelized. Ribs are dry-rubbed, low-heat smoked or braised, then brushed with sauce in the final stages for a sticky, charred finish.
Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 250°F. Pat ribs dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Rub the spice mixture generously all over both sides of the ribs, pressing gently to adhere.
Line a large roasting pan with aluminum foil. Place ribs bone-side down on the foil, then cover tightly with additional foil.
Bake covered for 3 hours at 250°F, or until meat begins to pull back from the bones.
In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and mustard.
Remove foil from ribs. Brush the glaze mixture generously over the ribs.
Return to oven uncovered and bake for 30 to 45 minutes, brushing with glaze every 15 minutes, until the sauce caramelizes and the meat is very tender.
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Cut between bones and transfer to a serving platter.
