BBQ Chicken
Succulent chicken glazed with smoky barbecue sauce, customizable with your choice of protein, cooking method, and complementary sides. A versatile base that adapts to grill, oven, or stovetop preparation.
Ingredients
Method
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
In a small bowl, combine paprika, minced garlic, and honey; stir into the BBQ sauce to create a glaze.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat (or preheat grill to medium). Place chicken in the pan and cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden and nearly cooked through.
Reduce heat to medium, brush the BBQ glaze generously over the chicken, and cook for another 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally and basting until the chicken reaches 165°F internally and the glaze caramelizes.
If using vegetables, add them to the pan or grill during the last 10 minutes of cooking, tossing with a light coat of oil and salt.
Transfer to a serving platter, spoon any remaining pan sauce over the top, and serve hot with your choice of sides (rice, coleslaw, cornbread, or roasted vegetables).
