Beef Bulgogi Bowl
A Korean-inspired grain bowl with marinated beef, sesame-soy glaze, and swappable vegetables and grains. Beef marinates quickly, then sears hot, and assembles over a warm base with fresh toppings.
Ingredients
Method
Slice beef thin against the grain and place in a bowl.
Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
Pour marinade over beef, stir to coat, and let rest 10–15 minutes at room temperature.
While beef marinates, slice cucumber, bell pepper, and green onions. Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat, about 2 minutes, then set aside.
Heat a cast-iron skillet or wok over high heat until smoking.
Working in two batches if needed, sear beef slices 1–2 minutes per side, undisturbed at first to develop color. Transfer to a plate.
Divide warm grain base among bowls.
Top each bowl with seared beef, cucumber, bell pepper, and green onion.
Drizzle with any pan juices or ginger-soy glaze, scatter toasted sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
