Beef Taco Lettuce Wraps
Ground beef seasoned with spices, served in crisp lettuce leaves with toppings. Assembled fresh and eaten by hand as a low-carb taco alternative.
Ingredients
Method
Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Arrange lettuce leaves on a platter and set aside.
Thinly slice the red onion, chop cilantro, slice jalapeño if using, and cut lime into wedges; arrange in small bowls.
Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add ground beef, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon. Cook until browned and no pink remains, 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes until flavors blend. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Spoon warm beef mixture onto each lettuce leaf. Top with red onion, cilantro, salsa, and jalapeño as desired.
Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the wraps.
