Cuban Sandwich
A pressed sandwich layered with tender pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles, traditionally served on Cuban bread with mustard and a touch of mojo flavor. Build your own variation by swapping proteins, cheeses, and condiments.

Method
Slice the bread loaf lengthwise and lightly brush the cut sides with butter or mojo sauce if using.
Spread mustard on the bottom half of the bread. Layer roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and dill pickles in even rows.
Close the sandwich with the top half of bread and press gently to compact.
Heat a panini press or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, butter the outside of the sandwich.
Press the sandwich in the hot panini press for 3-4 minutes until golden and cheese melts, or place in the skillet and weight it down with another skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 1 minute. Cut diagonally in half and serve immediately.
