A baked casserole of ground beef, egg noodles, and cheese, bound with a creamy sauce. Assembled in one dish and baked until bubbly and golden.
Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain in a colander and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and no pink remains, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1 minute.
Add condensed cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
Remove from heat and stir in cooked noodles and 1.5 cups of shredded cheese until combined.
Transfer the mixture to a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Top with remaining 0.5 cup shredded cheese.
Bake, uncovered, for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling at the edges.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
