Honey Baked Ham
A glazed ham baked with honey, mustard, and spices until caramelized. The exterior develops a sticky, crispy-edged crust while the meat stays moist inside.
Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 325°F. Remove ham from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to allow even baking.
Place ham cut-side down on a roasting pan rack. Cover tightly with foil.
Whisk together honey, mustard, brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, and ginger in a small bowl until smooth.
Bake covered for 1.5 hours (approximately 15 minutes per pound).
Remove foil, score the outer fat layer in a crosshatch pattern, and stud with cloves where lines intersect.
Brush glaze over ham. Return to oven and bake uncovered for 30–45 minutes, basting every 10–15 minutes, until exterior is caramelized and internal temperature reaches 140°F at the thickest point.
Let ham rest in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter.
Arrange orange slices and fresh rosemary sprigs around ham for garnish. Serve warm or at room temperature.
