One Pot Pasta
A single-pot dish combining pasta, broth, and protein or vegetables cooked together until tender. Pasta absorbs the broth's flavor while cooking, creating a cohesive, warm one-dish meal.
Ingredients
Method
Dice onion, mince garlic, and prepare protein and vegetables; measure broth and flavor base.
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. If using raw protein, add it now and cook 3–4 minutes until no longer raw on the surface.
Pour in broth and flavor base; bring to a boil. Add pasta and stir well to prevent sticking.
Add vegetables and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer uncovered 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed; broth should coat the pasta without pooling.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Stir in cheese if using. Divide among bowls and top with fresh herb. Serve warm.
