Chili Oil Noodles
Noodles tossed with chili oil, garlic, and aromatics. Hot, fragrant, and finished with fresh herbs and sesame seeds.
Ingredients
Method
Heat oil in a small skillet over low heat. Add minced garlic and toast for 1 minute until fragrant; do not brown.
Remove skillet from heat, stir in red pepper flakes, and let steep for 2 minutes. The residual heat will infuse the oil.
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook noodles according to package directions until al dente; drain well.
If using protein, warm it in the same pot or skillet over medium heat until heated through, about 3–4 minutes; set aside.
Transfer hot noodles to a bowl; pour the chili oil (with garlic and flakes) over them.
Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey; toss until evenly coated.
Top with protein, green onion, and sesame seeds; serve hot.
