Cinnamon Roll Casserole
A baked casserole featuring swirled dough layers with cinnamon, sugar, and butter, topped with a glaze. Assembled in a baking dish and baked until golden and pull-apart tender.
Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Add 4 tbsp melted butter and milk; stir until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 14x10 inch rectangle.
In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and brown sugar.
Brush the rolled dough with 2 tbsp melted butter; sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the entire surface.
Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
Cut the log into 9 equal pieces and arrange seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
Bake at 350°F for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While casserole bakes, beat softened cream cheese and 2 tbsp melted butter until smooth.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; beat until combined. Add milk 1 tbsp at a time until glaze reaches a drizzle consistency.
Remove casserole from oven. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and let set for 5 minutes before serving.
