Levain Cookies

Method
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
Gently fold in the flour mixture until just combined.
Fold in the chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chips.
Scoop dough into 12 equal portions onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12–14 minutes, until the edges are golden but the center still appears slightly underdone.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool further.
