Marry Me Pasta
Creamy pasta dish with swappable proteins, aromatics, and sauce bases that transform across cuisines. Tossed together on the stovetop in under 30 minutes, finished with cheese and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
Method
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally.
While pasta cooks, heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add protein to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and nearly cooked through, 6–8 minutes; transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, heat remaining 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in cream and stir gently. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in lemon juice and optional spice blend. Return protein to the skillet and warm through.
Drain pasta and reserve 1 cup pasta water. Add pasta to the skillet and toss gently, adding pasta water 1 tablespoon at a time if the sauce seems too thick.
Remove from heat. Stir in half the grated cheese until just combined.
Divide among bowls. Top with remaining cheese and fresh herb garnish. Serve immediately.
