Beef and Broccoli
A savory, umami-rich stir-fry with tender beef and crisp broccoli coated in a glossy sauce. Customize the protein, vegetables, and sauce to create endless variations.
Ingredients
Method
Cut beef into 1-inch cubes or thin slices. Cut broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince garlic and ginger.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
Working in batches to avoid crowding, cook beef until browned on all sides (2–3 minutes per batch). Transfer to a plate.
Add remaining 1 tbsp sesame oil to the wok. Add garlic and ginger; stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Return beef to the wok. Pour in the sauce mixture and toss constantly until the sauce thickens and coats all ingredients (1–2 minutes).
Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onion. Serve over rice, noodles, or alone.
