Cajun Turkey Burger
Ground turkey patty seasoned with cajun spices, griddled until golden. Served on a toasted bun with swappable toppings and condiments.
Ingredients
Method
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, cajun seasoning, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix gently with your hands until just combined; do not overwork.
Form mixture into 4 equal patties, each about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indent in the center of each patty with your thumb.
Heat olive oil in a grill or skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Top each patty with cheese during the final minute of cooking if desired. Transfer to a clean plate.
Lightly toast buns on the grill or in a skillet, about 1–2 minutes per side.
Spread burger sauce on both bun halves. Layer lettuce, tomato slice, red onion, and cooked patty on the bottom bun. Top with the upper bun.
Serve immediately with hot sauce on the side if desired.
