Garlic Green Beans
Sautéed green beans with garlic, oil, and optional aromatics. Quick stovetop side dish finished with herbs and seasoning.
Ingredients
Method
Trim both ends from green beans and rinse. Pat dry with paper towels. Mince the garlic cloves.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.
Add minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
Add trimmed green beans and stir to coat with oil. Spread in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 3 minutes.
Stir the beans and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for 6–8 minutes until tender-crisp and lightly blistered. Beans should retain some firmness.
Remove from heat. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
Transfer to a serving plate. Drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
