Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter or oil.
Spread thawed hash browns evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
Scatter cooked diced protein and diced vegetable over the hash browns.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Pour egg mixture evenly over the hash brown layer.
Sprinkle shredded cheese across the top.
Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herb if desired, then cut into portions and serve warm.
