A composed grain bowl featuring pan-seared mahi-mahi with key lime citrus, served over a swappable grain base with seasonal vegetables. Build-your-own format allows choice of grain, protein, and fresh toppings for varied meals.
Ingredients
Method
Pat mahi-mahi dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Dice cucumber, red onion, and bell pepper; chop cilantro and set aside.
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add mahi-mahi and sear 4–5 minutes per side until opaque and just cooked through; transfer to a plate.
Reduce heat to low; add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and lime juice to the pan, swirling to combine for 30 seconds to deglaze.
Divide warm grain base between two bowls.
Top each bowl with diced cucumber, red onion, and bell pepper arranged in sections.
Break mahi-mahi into chunks and place on top of vegetables.
Drizzle cilantro-lime crema over the bowl, garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds, and drizzle any pan lime reduction across the top.
