Korean BBQ Grain Bowl
A build-your-own grain bowl featuring marinated protein and a swappable grain base, topped with kimchi, sesame seeds, and gochujang glaze. Proteins, grains, and vegetables rotate to create multiple variations from a single template.
Ingredients
Method
In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, and minced garlic.
Add protein slices to the marinade, toss to coat evenly, and let rest for 15 minutes at room temperature (or refrigerate up to 4 hours).
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until very hot.
Working in batches to avoid crowding, sear protein slices 1–2 minutes per side until lightly caramelized; set aside.
Divide warm grain base between serving bowls.
Arrange cooked protein, kimchi, cucumber, blanched greens, and green onion on top of the grain.
Drizzle with gochujang glaze and scatter sesame seeds over the top.
Serve immediately while grain and protein are still warm.
