Method
Cut protein into bite-sized pieces and slice or chop all vegetables. Mince garlic and tear or leave basil leaves whole. Slice green onions and measure out all sauce ingredients.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and heat element (if using). Set aside.
Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1–2 minutes.
Add protein and cook, stirring frequently, until golden and cooked through, 4–6 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
If needed, add a touch more oil to the pan. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add primary vegetable and stir-fry over medium-high heat until tender-crisp, 3–4 minutes.
Return protein to the pan, pour in sauce, and toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until coated and heated through.
Remove from heat. Stir in fresh basil and toss gently to combine.
Transfer to a plate or bowl. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onion. Serve immediately.
