Marry Me Salmon
Pan-seared salmon fillet with a choice of glaze and roasted vegetable sides. The protein cooks quickly over high heat, finished with a complementary sauce and fresh garnish.
Ingredients
Method
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels; season both sides with salt and pepper.
Trim primary vegetable (asparagus, broccoli, or green beans) and cut secondary vegetable (squash or pepper) into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic and aromatics.
Whisk together the glaze base (honey/maple), acid (lemon/lime juice), spice (ginger/garlic), and soy sauce in a small bowl.
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add primary and secondary vegetables, tossing to coat. Cook 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp. Transfer to a plate.
Add remaining 1 tbsp oil to the same skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side up; sear 4 minutes until skin is crispy.
Flip salmon and cook 2–3 minutes on the flesh side. Pour glaze over fillets and cook 1–2 minutes more until salmon reaches 145°F internally and glaze coats the surface.
Divide roasted vegetables between two plates. Top each with one glazed salmon fillet.
Drizzle finishing oil (sesame or walnut) over the plate. Scatter with garnish seeds and fresh herb. Serve immediately.
