Method
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now to heat.
Stretch or roll out your pizza dough to a 12-inch round on a lightly oiled baking sheet or pizza peel. Brush the edges lightly with olive oil for a golden crust.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border for the crust. Use the back of a spoon to distribute it smoothly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Distribute the pepperoni slices evenly across the pizza. Scatter the minced garlic over the top.
Drizzle lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle with dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly around the edges.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 1–2 minutes. Slice into 4 pieces and serve immediately.
