Sautéed Mushrooms

Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth or brush; slice into even 1/4-inch pieces. Dice the aromatic vegetable and mince garlic.
Heat fat in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the aromatic vegetable and cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add mushroom slices and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5–7 minutes until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
Sprinkle seasoning blend over mushrooms, stir to combine. Pour in liquid and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced and flavors meld.
Taste and adjust with salt and black pepper.
Transfer to a serving dish. Top with finishing vegetable and optional finishing fat or sauce. Serve warm as a side or over grains, pasta, bread, or protein.
