Tuna Melt
A toasted sandwich combining canned tuna, melted cheese, and bread. Built on swappable protein, cheese, and bread bases to yield numerous variations.

Method
In a small bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, diced celery, and lemon juice. Mix gently until combined.
Spread half the tuna mixture on one slice of bread. Layer cheese evenly over the filling. Top with the second slice of bread.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Butter the outside of both bread slices lightly.
Place sandwich on the hot skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
Flip the sandwich carefully with a spatula. Cook the other side for 2–3 minutes until golden and the cheese is fully melted.
Transfer to a plate and serve warm.
