Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Butter-based cookies containing cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Baked until the edges are set and centers remain chewy.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using).
Drop rounded tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers still appear slightly underdone.
Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
