Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 or 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the white chocolate chunks and pistachios.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
Bake for 22–28 minutes until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then lift out using the parchment overhang and cool completely on a wire rack.
Cut into 16 squares and serve.
