Oat & Berry Crisp
A baked fruit dessert with oat topping and swappable berries or stone fruit. Crispy oat layer bakes over soft, bubbling fruit filling.
Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine berries, sugar, and lemon juice in the baking dish and toss gently to coat.
In a large bowl, whisk together oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
Add cold butter pieces and vanilla extract. Using your fingers or a fork, work the butter into the oat mixture until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
Scatter the oat topping evenly over the fruit, leaving small gaps to let steam escape. Do not press down.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling at the edges and the topping is golden brown.
Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with Greek yogurt or whipped cream.
