Fried Apples
Sliced apples fried in butter with sugar and spices until caramelized. Tender and crispy at the edges, served warm with optional toppings.
Ingredients
Method
Peel and core the apples, then slice them into 1/4-inch rings. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until foaming.
Add apple slices in a single layer and sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring gently, until golden on the underside.
Flip the apples, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar, and cook for another 4–5 minutes until tender and caramelized at the edges.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract if using.
Transfer to a serving bowl and serve warm.
